Digital Marketer

For more than 35 years, Life Ed Qld has been empowering children to make safer and healthier choices through education.  As Queensland’s largest non-government provider of health education to children, we are well-recognised for our trusted health and safety messages.

Our staff share a vision to empower young people to thrive and reach their full potential.  Supported by our much loved mascot Healthy Harold, last year alone, we saw 180,000 Qld children and supported 8,800 teachers in schools across the state.

The demand for our work in community has never been more important or valuable, and as a result, we are looking to add a skilled Digital Marketer to our team.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will assist in implementing the Life Ed social marketing strategy.  This will include delivering tactical marketing activities and bring to life social marketing campaigns, through design and development, delivering results to extend our reach and impact.

Some key duties will include:

  • Assist in the development of marketing communication plan and implement activity with above and below the line tactics.
  • Create, maintain and analyse automated journeys for our parents and schools, including eDM; landing pages; SMS through campaigns.
  • Identify, write, design and coordinate parent and teacher content with the aim of improving health and wellbeing via targeted content strategies.
  • Help amplify our social impact via creative design briefs through multiple formats and distribution.
  • Writing, filming, photographing and implementing social media and web content.
  • Collaborate with the Media Manager with the distribution of newsletters, podcasts and other publications.
  • Conduct market research

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 4 years previous experience in digital marketing plus demonstrated success in campaign development and coordination, growing social media, and increasing reach and engagement.
  • Relevant qualification in marketing / digital marketing.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail, preferably in the NFP sector.
  • Strong understanding of SEO.
  • Experience developing, updating and managing web content, as well as the use of CMS systems.
  • Experience with a marketing platform (Campaign Monitor or similar), and maintaining a customer database.
  • Analytical ability to evaluate activity and outcomes from marketing campaigns.
  • A passion for Life Ed and the work we do.
  • Have a current Working with Children Blue Card, or the willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.

This is a part time role with 0.6 (22.8) hours per week available. There is flexibility with the structure of these hours and candidates are encouraged to suggest in their application how they would structure these hours.
