Empowering young Queenslanders through education.

Life Ed Qld is the largest non-government provider of health and wellbeing education to children in Queensland.

Our educators and Healthy Harold reach more than 200,000 students each year with our programs that introduce and reinforce key health messages about nutrition, physical exercise, online safety, legal and illegal drugs as well as cyberbullying.

Saving young lives

Working on the streets of Kings Cross through the Wayside Chapel, our founder the late Ted Noffs, witnessed young lives impacted by drugs and alcohol on a daily basis. This experience convinced him that Australia needed a national health and wellbeing education program to empower children to make safer and healthier life choices.

Ted’s dream of a national program soon became a reality and with the support of two Queensland businessmen, Ron McMaster and Brian Ray, Life Ed Qld was established in 1987.
