Health Educator – Ipswich
In this full time role, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Life Education programs to primary school children within the Ipswich / Logan regions.
You will bring previous experience of being a confident and engaging facilitator to groups of children and young people, together with a strong capability of delivering specific learning outcomes.
You will support students to develop their knowledge, strategies and skills to make safer and healthier choices across a range of issues including nutrition, cyber safety, healthy relationships, smoking and alcohol, and more.
You will also be a valuable resource and support to classroom teachers, ensuring you are helping them to meet their health education needs.
Applicants must address the following selection criteria in their application:
A relevant qualification in teaching / educating children, or nutrition / health promotion background.
Recent experience of facilitating successful learning programs with children (early years or primary).
Engaging presenting skills with capability of delivering information sessions to Teachers, Principals and Parents.
Be available to start as soon as possible.
Flexible to travel within South East Qld as required.
Be resourceful, proactive and capable of working independently.
Have a passion for health promotion and for improving children’s health and wellbeing.
Strong computer literacy and IT problem solving skills, when working independently. Capability to work within Salesforce CRM is essential.
Strong administration skills with excellent time management capability.
Have a current unrestricted driver’s license.
Have a current Qld Working with Children card.
This role will be offered on a full time basis for a fixed period until 10 December 2022, with the possibility of extension.
In this busy role you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office administration and accounting processes at Life Education Qld, and supporting the Business Services team in meeting their service delivery. The role encompasses office administration duties, bookkeeping, funder data capture and reporting, staff support, and assistance with process improvements.
Key duties in the role will include:
Accounts Payable and Receivable.
Bank processing and reconciliation.
Monthly close to trial balance.
Other tasks such as fixed asset register; GL account reconciliation; budget preparation; BAS / IAS / Super returns.
Back up for fortnightly payroll processing.
Funding admin tasks include data capture and reporting.
Office tasks include general phone support; assistance with onboarding and offboarding staff; general maintenance of the office including overseeing purchasing, couriers and ensuring the office is well maintained.
Office relocation project
Other tasks as required within the Business Services team.
This is a full time fixed term contract until 12 November 2021.
Managing the daily administrative tasks associated with the smooth running of the Office of the CEO, including diary management, making appointments and booking meetings on behalf of the CEO, and email management.
Ensuring efficient and effective communication between the Office of the CEO and internal and external stakeholders, including the management team and Board, local MPs, funding bodies and other NGOs.
Coordinating a range of documentation and correspondence for the CEO, including proofreading and minor editing, liaising with senior management and following up on reports and briefing papers.
Assisting with the organisation of board meetings including organising attendees, minute taking and circulating board papers.
Taking minutes of meetings between the CEO and other managers/staff as required
Organising travel for the CEO, for the Chairman and for other board members as required, including the development of itineraries, organising meetings, arranging transport and accommodation, and preparing background briefing papers.
Other duties as required by the CEO.
This role will be offered on a part time basis (30.4 hours per week) for a fixed period until 30 November 2022.
