Do you know a young person aged 10–14 who wants to make a difference? 

A new opportunity for young people in Queensland 

As part of Queensland Youth Week, Life Ed Queensland is launching its first Youth Advisory Group. 

This is an opportunity for young people aged 10–14 to share their ideas, perspectives and experiences to help shape programs that support the health and wellbeing of young people.  

Do you know a young person aged 10-14 who....

💬 Loves sharing their ideas? 
💡 Cares about kids being safe, happy and healthy? 
🎤 Wants their voice to be heard? 
🦒 Or just really loves Healthy Harold? 

They can apply to become a Life Ed Queensland Youth Ambassador and join our Youth Advisory Group (YAG). 

What’s the commitment? 

Just 45 minutes for the first meeting, then once a term ONLINE.

Young people in the Youth Advisory Group will: 

  • Have a say in how we create resources, content and ideas that matter to young people
  • Share their perspectives on what makes a real difference for kids their age 
  • Help shape the direction of Life Ed Queensland 
  • Build confidence, communication and leadership skills 
  • Be recognised as part of the 2026 Life Ed Youth Advisory Group 

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for young people aged 10–14 who: 

  • Enjoy sharing their ideas and opinions  
  • Care about the wellbeing of others  
  • Are willing to participate respectfully  

We are committed to creating a group that reflects diverse experiences, backgrounds and perspectives across Queensland.

A safe and supported experience 

Parent/carer consent is required

Membership runs for 12 months

One meeting per term (online)

Optional in-person launch session (Gold Coast)

Safe, facilitated environment aligned with child-safe practices

Participation is voluntary

Sessions are facilitated by trained Life Ed Queensland staff
