This 60-minute online workshop will encourage you to reflect on your personal role in bullying prevention and empower you in your ability to positively impact change through upstander action. The workshop is interactive and is packed with practical strategies that teachers can use on the job to respond to bullying incidents and disclosures, and proactively prevent bullying behaviours among students.

Who is MATE? 
MATE is an evidence-based and transformative training initiative centred on the bystander’s role in violence prevention. Emerging from Griffith University’s Violence Research and Prevention Program, MATE empowers workshop participants in a safe and non-judgemental environment to identify simple techniques and tools they can use to prevent violence and harmful behaviours in their own communities.
