Life Education Queensland was proud to support Queensland Mental Health Week in October with staff activities, community events and resources for parents.

We joined Arundel State Schools’ Mental Wealth Day (pictured), an event focused on celebrating positivity and developing students’ resilience after the upheaval brought on by COVID-19. Healthy Harold showed students how to do yoga poses, and our School and Community Partnerships team introduced parents, teachers and children to the Life Education Hub – the online learning platform which complements our in-schools program.

Meantime, Life Education Queensland CEO Michael Fawsitt spoke with ABC Wide Bay about Life Education’s holistic approach to education – which emphasises both good physical health and positive mental health in empowering children.

Our parent podcast Food, Mood & Brain Health featured leading neuroscientist Professor Selena Bartlett who explained how to get a better handle on stress with simple brain-training techniques.

And we provided a range of helpful resources for parents including How to practise mindfulness with your child, 5 ways to boost student mental health and a Healthy Harold Gratitude giveaway.
