Strategic Plan

Our priorities

• Obesity and overweight. Empower young people to make healthy good and drink choices, eat more fruit and vegetables, and increase physical activity.
• Drugs and alcohol. Empower young people to avoid or reduce the harms associated with drugs and alcohol.
• Social health. Reduce bullying and promote respectful relationships, and empower young people with protective behaviours to stay safe online and face to face.
• Emotional health. Promote positive mental health by building young people’s resilience, self-confidence and positive sense of self.

Our strategies

• Meet stakeholder needs. Supporting the physical, social and emotional health of children through a whole of school and community approach.
• Grow our reach, influence and impact. Developing and delivering innovative programs that enable us to increase our reach, influence and impact, especially for vulnerable children in areas of disadvantage.
• Build partnerships and fundraising. Mobilising Queenslanders to support our work, and seeking mutually beneficial partnerships with Government and organisations – because together we can make a bigger difference.
• Strong evidence base. Underpinning our work through research, consultation, best practice and evaluation – providing high quality health education to support schools and parents, and positive health outcomes for young people.
• Culture of accountability. A child safe organisation with a shared commitment to a common vision, mission and values.
• Work cohesively. Communicating and collaborating effectively with one another and with our stakeholders, using systems that support cohesiveness and transparency.
