#AUSSIEUPSTANDER

Join us in creating a safer Queensland by taking a stand against assault and bullying.

Why We Need Your Help

The latest statistics on assaults in Queensland are frightening.

In 2023, Queensland police reported there were 66,921 victims of assault and sexual assault, an increase of 12%. That’s more than 5,000 victims every month, or almost 200 every day.

We’re not born to be violent. It’s learned behaviour. Prevention starts with our kids, and with us as role models.

We need to act now. Make your pledge to respect and let’s be part of the movement for change.

STAND UP FOR RESPECT

Life Ed Qld is calling on all Queenslanders to step up and make their pledge how they will be more respectful and be upstanders to help prevent assault and bullying within our communities.

Khara’s heartbreaking stories from her time at school are just one example of why bullying prevention education is so important.

WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION NOW AND STAND UP FOR RESPECT
#AUSSIEUPSTANDER

Bullying is an ongoing and deliberate misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical and/or social behaviour that intends to cause physical, social and/or psychological harm.

Research shows a link between childhood bullying behaviours and violence later in life.

Teaching our children to stand up for respect today is helping to build safer communities for our kids, now and in the future.

Here at Life Ed Queensland, we encourage all Queenslanders to be an Aussie upstander.
