Frequently Asked Questions

The Queensland Junior Upstander Awards is part of the Life Ed Queensland’s Stand Up for Respect campaign. 

The purpose is to encourage primary school aged children to be upstanders against bullying and to call out inappropriate behaviour.

The competition opens at 9:00am Tuesday 9th July 2024 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Sunday 4th August 2024. 

Winners will be announced 12 August 2024. 

There will be four winning entries. 

Each winner will be: 

  • invited to attend Queensland Parliament House to be celebrated and recognised as the Queensland Junior Upstander Winner at the event, Celebrating 45 years with Life Ed QLD and Healthy Harold on Tuesday 20th August 7:30pm – 9:00pm
  • receive a $250 VISA gift card for their nominated upstander and a $250 VISA gift card for their school

 

No, a parent or guardian must approve the entry upon submission of the entrant form. Your entry will not be valid without this. 

Winners will be chosen based on chance draw of all nominations.   

Only one entry is permitted per Eligible Entrant. 

No, it is free to enter. 

Late entries will not be accepted. Please ensure your entry is sent across by Sunday 4th August 11:59pm AEST. 

We encourage schools, community groups and other organisations to promote the Stand Up to Respect campaign and motivate those in their community aged 7-13 years-old to enter the Queensland Junior Upstander Awards 2024.
